Back to bloggin'

Well I took a little hiatus I have finally returned to blogging!

The kids are back in school. I have at least 12 projects that I am working on and none of them productively.

I am also participating in a coupe swaps on Ravelry. One is with a lovely woman in the UK and the second one I am awaiting my swap partner. I just love swaps. I did my first one earlier this year and it was so fun. It's just like Christmas!

Now to update everyone on the critter situation in my home. The good news is that we have not had any more wild animals in the house. We have been adopted by a lovely cat that we have named Shadow. That brings us to 3 dogs, 3 cats and 1 fish.

So basically I still live in a zoo.

It's not over yet!

A quick update for those of you following the animal kingdom that is my home. Bat #4 was zipping it's way around my home 2 nights ago.

I am pondering how to list the house. 4BR, 4bat home on...? Think we will get any offers?

Guild Day

Well I'm a day late writing this but that's actually good time for me.

Yesterday was our monthly fiber guild meeting and it was fun as always. Bob was not there though and so it was not as fun as it could have been. We missed you Bob!! But we had 3 new people come. 2 of them were friends of mine...Michelle and Janet...thank you for coming and I hope you both will come back again and again. The other new person was Sandi and she heard about us through our group on ravelry.com. I'm also hoping that Sandi keeps coming back as she is fun and a great addition to our group.

Sue's son was at the meeting and I have to give him a big THANK YOU 'cause he gave me a few spinning pointers and they were very helpful!!!

After the meeting 3 of us were supposed to go to lunch but...we went to Spirit Works a new yarn shop on Monroe Ave..they are just opening and so they do not have a lot of stock out yet but I will definetly go back the owner was so nice and pleasant I really want to give her some business.

Then we were off to 2 bead stores.

Unfortunately my family had a melt down at this point so I had to return home and we never did get lunch. Oh well at least they held off until the shops were visited.

Boy do I know how to have fun!

I spent the day, or most of it, from 10am until about 3:30pm in a waiting room at a local hospital. My Aunt was having a lumpectomy on her breast and she was terrified so I told her that I would be there before and after. What made this an especially fun day was the fact that I had to bring my 3 sons...real life not the show, I don't have Uncle Charlie to cook and clean! If you think you have had fun before then you have never spent the day with 3 boys, 12, 10, & 8, in a small waiting room at a hospital. By the time we were able to leave I thought my head was going to spin off!!

Actually they were very well behaved for the 5 1/2 hours we were there but boy did I pay for it on the way home!!

The good news is that they are 80% sure that the lump was just some kind of infection and not cancerous!!!

Football Season Already

Today was the first day of football season for 2 of my sons. I have a love hate relationship with football season. It is really more of a life committment than a season. Practice is 2 12 hours a day four days a week until school starts. Yikes. At least I am not the one the is doing the practicing. Now that would be funny.

Both of my boys are on the same team. It is my youngest sons first year of playing tackle and so far he loved the practice.

I again volunteered to be the team mom so I will be attending most of the practices with my sons. I do spend most of my time there chatting though!

Yes I am an airhead

It has just been pointed out to me that I totally forgot to mention my newest addiction which is spinning! I just purchased an Ashford Kiwi from my friend Bob at Winderwood Farms and I just love it.

Thanks Bob!
